Sample Schedule
During camps, we focus on classical art for 1.5 to 2 hours each day of the camp and spend the rest of the time exploring art in other ways. It is always good to take breaks to reset. We include a variety of other activities besides painting and drawing. Mystery box helps the students imagine and understand an object through touch and in 3D. Character design encourages students to be more creative and make a story in their mind starting with a character. Art history helps students see what other artists made before and how artists help us record history and bring innovation to the world. Group projects help students work in collaboration with others. Sculpture helps students understand that art can be made from a variety of materials and helps them work in 3D (art can be made from anything), and it's important to do the best with what we have. Every project is placed intentionally within our curriculum to help students grow, become more creative and more open minded artists.
