Examples of watercolor pencils and acrylic art we will be working on in camp. Pause as needed. Making an art piece should take at least twice as much time as it takes for the teacher in the video lesson. No need to worry. Live step by step instruction with the teacher will be much easier than following the videos below. Everyone will do great!

A message for the students: It is okay if your art looks different from the reference provided. If you think the fish can use some friends, it is okay to add them. If you think a butterfly may look nice near a peach, make it fly into your art. If you accidentally make a splatter, turn it into a flower. Artists do not believe in mistakes - only more opportunities for creativity and to be better.

During camps, we focus on classical art for 1 to 1.5 hours each day of the camp and spend the rest of the time exploring art in other ways. It is always good to take breaks to reset so we include a variety of other activities besides painting and drawing. Character design encourages students to be more creative and make a story in their mind. Art history helps students learn how artists help us record history and bring innovation to the world. Group activities help students work in collaboration with others. Sculpture helps students understand the importance of doing their best with the materials they have available. It also helps them visualize and create art in 3D. Every project is placed intentionally within our curriculum to help students grow, become more creative and more open minded artists.
